Difussing Essential Oils for Toddlers

One of my favorite things....
I want to start this blog by clarifying that this is NOT a sponsored post and  I do not sell for Do Terra. This blog shares my lifestyle and the things I create, do and use that bring me joy. Today I wanted to share one tool that I have really enjoyed and use a lot in my home and for my child. I am not one of those all knowing "essential oil Moms", but I am learning a lot about the benefits of using them over medications. Surprisingly, I found them to work very well.

When we first moved into our rental a couple of months ago I was shocked by the air and smell of the old house. We spent a lot of time cleaning and airing it out, but it still didn't feel great. My Mom sent a couple of these oil diffusers to us to solve our problem. I used some Purify and Lemon essential oils in them and it made such a difference. I now use them all the time!

During the day I will use some lemon and it really helps the house smell fresh and cheers me up! I love using Lavendar in Lyla's room at night to calm her. We were all sick last week and I was able to use Breathe and Serenity to help out. (By the way these cute dolls in the background were made by my friend Andrea, check them out here.)

Research has shown how diffusing oils in your home can: lift you mood, energize, relax, soothe, calm, and improve concentration.  I have even read of teachers using them in their classrooms during tests to calm students! Ok.... I am getting off the soap box.

What are some of your favorite ways to use essential oils?

  2. I have at least one diffuser running at all times. I love diffusing wild orange and peppermint together OR citrus bliss and peppermint together. It is so energizing and invigorating. I also love Lavender and Eucalyptus together, it smells like a spa and makes me feel relaxed and pampered. :)
